REALLY useful to have this activation when you are in the back room and don't know if anyone has entered the driveway. (or went through the fence into the yard and crossed the beam to the house, etc.). You can also connect several SENSORS and program them for different sounds. I even bought an ANOTHER receiver (not a sensor) for the front of the house so I can hear it better from the kitchen. The AA batteries have not been changed for almost a year. It's best to vote if you hear the receiver as you cross the beam. Make sure the sensor unit is set correctly. You'll get false positives if you mount it on a small tree that sways in the wind, unless you mount it lower where the trunk doesn't move. Also false alarms if you set it so the beam is too low (meaning a cat or squirrel can pass through the IR beam and cause it). . No questions so far!
