I read the reviews and bought it anyway. No part of this product fits my 2014 f150. The cutouts in the bumper are not only too small, they are also too small. We're only talking a millimeter or so at a time, but why say it will fit? In my case, the socket (that is, the part that connects to the wiring harness) and the bulb socket were rusted and would not separate. As a result, I also needed an outlet, so I went with this full build and realized (based on feedback) that I would probably need to make some changes. Bottom line, if you have a good sharp razor blade and take your time, you can easily switch tab slots. I used a dremel with a cylindrical sander to slightly enlarge the hole in the bumper. From start to finish the whole job took probably an hour and apart from the LEDs it looks OEM. I will say that the brightness of the light is not objectionable. Brighter than OEM, of course, but it's not bad. Judging by the photos, it's not nearly as bright as Ruxifey. Update 10/09/2021: Last night I noticed a new license plate light in very dark conditions. i really like it bright enough to easily see the license plate, but not bright enough to perform open-heart surgery. I am happy with my choice. Would have easily gotten 5 stars if it had fit out of the box.
