The bike stem is weird. Most 1" stems are actually 7/8 by 22.2 OD. The 1 1/8 tip diameter is actually 25.4. I ordered this one because some other reviews had pictures of 25.4 stems which came from this item. I bought it to use on an old bike that needed a 1" stem. The packaging says 1 to 1 1/8" but the stem is OD 22, Marked 2. I was very hopeful as some of the other reviewers had posted photos of the 25.4mm OD The stem I received was only 22.2 and can be used as a replacement for a 1" gooseneck It is highly recommended that the seller add a metric description and pictures to this item It is much easier to ensure that a 25.4 OD stem will fit your bike than it is to work with multiple measurement standards Well made part that will I'll save mine for next time I have an old bike have that requires an adapter.
