I recently left Comcast and switched to DirecTV. I love it. I have a new Genie DVR and wanted a second remote control for the living room where the DVR is located and also for the master bedroom. I ordered two of these and when they arrived they were packaged with batteries and even little stickers to identify which room they were for. I like the fact that the remote uses RF mode to communicate with either my HR44 DVR or our existing C41-500 client devices. At the same time, they talk to your TV in IR mode. Either way, if you have a DirecTV and need a second remote or need to replace your existing remote, I can say this is the 'unique deal'.
