📱 Enhanced DIRECTV RC71 Remote Control for Optimal Functionality Review

I can't check the product, it's not what I ordered. This model (RC73) works with a guide, changes channels, displays a list of recorded shows and turns the power on/off. It doesn't control the volume. RC71 ordered - RC73 sent.

Our old remote control no longer works. We were so excited because we couldn't watch TV. I went online to look for one and found the exact same remote! I ordered it. He came quickly. And once our brother-in-law programs it into our TV, we're back in business! This girl is very happy!

I got the rc73 not the rc71 as ordered so it is misprogrammed for the volume control and some other functions so we still use it The old remote control, to perform these functions and the new remote control to change the channel, basically now it just added another remote control for us. I have ordered two Direct TV RC71 remotes. I received two remotes marked "Evaluation Sample - Not for Resale". They were also marked reduced-range UEI RC71. These remote controls did not work beyond 3 feet. Therefore, these remote controls are practically useless to me. I have a 70 inch TV and watch it about 10 feet away. The seller may not sell them on Revain.

I ordered the RC71 but received a free upgrade to the RC73. The RC73 is flawlessly programmed with Directv Genie. After reading the instructions that came with it, I was also able to program my 2014 TV (4 year old Samsung). All work in sync with each other. I bought this remote control to use with an older Direct-TV HR24-500 receiver. This remote is for newer models but I bought this as a replacement for the RC65RX which is an RF (Radio Frequency) remote. This is also an RF remote but will not work with older receivers in RF mode. You're buying this because you're already a DirecTv customer so you really don't have much choice to buy. However, it is a good product, but not a great one. It feels good in the hand and can be operated with one hand. You really must have a second one because you can't control your DVR without it.
