Review on GIGABYTE GeForce Graphics WINDFORCE GV N308TEAGLE 12GD by Adam Kulesza ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I expected mediocre quality, but the product was pleasantly surprised.

So. In order for the card to be PERFECT, exactly beautiful, you need to change the thermal pads, thermal paste and undervolting. Thermal pads: Go to aliexpress, drive in ThermalRight Odyssey and take 3 different pieces (1 piece 85x45x2.0mm for memory chips, 1 piece 85x45x3.0mm for the backplate, and 1 piece 85x45x1.5mm or 85x45x1.0mm (I got 1.5mm, comrade 1.0 mm) for everything else). And the temperature will drop to sane 75-80 degrees in the load). Thermal paste: everything is just Arctic Cooling MX-4 (2022) and everything will be fine. And the most interesting thing is undervolting: Watch a better video on how to do it. In the end, everything turned out to be very simple. With a power limit of 85%, it was possible to make 1710 MHz at 800 MV. BUT! The temperature was between 60 and 70 degrees. And then 70 only in cyberpunk, in other games 60-65. GONE THROTTLE SPEECH! And they squeaked like the last creatures at more than 100 frames. Plus she's quiet! Yes, I know it's not much, but for the sake of comparison, I ran it up to 1900 MHz and got a difference of 5 frames (95 and 90). But the temperature is 85 and the squeak of the throttles. I think you can sacrifice 5 frames for the sake of a small temperature, silence and the absence of a squeak of throttles. Unfortunately, there were no photos of tests before opening the card, but believe me, I would not bother so much if the card was in order.

Pros
  • Low price compared to the rest (I took it from behind a hillock) Good performance. Narrow but long. For example, there was a 3080 Asus ROG - so it was shorter, but one and a half times wider. Noise average. Sane food. Further in the comments.
Cons
  • Temperatures! There are reviews where they write that they finished cooling and thermal pads - do not believe it, it's a lie! 80 by chip and 109 by memory in some games! (in stress tests, the temperature is lower - 75 for the chip and 90 for the memory) Food chokes (at high FPS). And I need a big FPS, I have a 144Hz monik. Very long - about the elbow. In short, this is not visible in the photo, but when you take it in your hand, you look amazing . Favorite blowing through - because of which the percent suffers. (but not much, the temperature rises by 3 degrees). Provided that I have a Thermaltake Core X71 TG case and it is perfectly ventilated. You have to bring the map to mind with your own hands.
