Review on 14 15 YAMAHA Bolt RS Vance Intake by Jojo Howell

Okay to start with the obvious, this thing looks awesome installed, works great and definitely reduces the side profile over the stock airbox. This thing saved my right knee from that pesky bump I got from the stock airbox. The ONLY reason I didn't give it five stars was because the bracket that attaches it to the mounting plate on my head didn't fit properly. The mount was too short no matter what we tried, about an eighth of an inch. This resulted in the bracket never being attached, meaning it was only attached to the throttle body. Overall, this didn't affect the performance or stability of the airbox and didn't bother me overly, but I would obviously prefer it to be properly attached. I would assume my mount was just a one off oddity and not the way things are shipped in case you change your mind. It bothered me so little that I never attempted to find a replacement but having worked with V&H on other issues I think it would be easy as they have great customer service. Overall, I highly recommend this air intake setup, but I do advise checking the length of the bracket before getting to the end of the setup in case you need a suitable replacement.
