I was unable to disassemble the wiper arms to install the new blades but it wasn't necessary. The old blades could be pulled out with pliers and there was plenty of room to put in new ones. All I had to do was cut them to length with scissors. On the other hand, my hands were black from the rubber contact, and everything I touched had greasy, black fingerprints that were difficult to remove. I suggest wearing gloves when handling these replacement wiper blades and not touching anything until you've removed your gloves.
