I was unable to disassemble the wiper arms to install the new blades but it wasn't necessary. The old blades could be pulled out with pliers and there was plenty of room to put in new ones. All I had to do was cut them to length with scissors. On the other hand, my hands were black from the rubber contact, and everything I touched had greasy, black fingerprints that were difficult to remove. As you can see in my photo it does not match the product image on the site. My photo shows my old blade (left) and this blade (right). My blade has small indentations on the end to accommodate the lugs on the stainless steel strips that fit into the groove on the blade. This item measures at least 26 inches in length. It's less than that. Its length is only 25 1/2 inches. If you want 26 inches as advertised then this item is completely discarded as it depends on the size of the wiper blades. I don't understand why they are too lazy to get the right measurement. How difficult is it? The quality of the rubber seems to be good, so if you just want a shorter length this item might be for you. I ordered them for my VW Jetta. There are wiper blades. Ease of installation. Use tweezers to pry up the tabs while you remove the end cap. Move the next part (wind deflector) to get the old rubber out easier. Move the wind deflector back, noting the alignment. Slide on rubber. Reinstall the connector - listen for a click. First, what it is and what it isn't. This is a replacement for the RUBBER WIPER THAT CONTACTS WITH THE WINDSHIELD. This is NOT a squeegee and stainless steel strips holding the rubber in place. They are also NOT complete wiper blades. They are silicone however, they are siamese so they must be pulled apart and cannot be used unless you have the stainless steel retaining strips from old wipers. I was torn between replacing the brushes in my Rain-X Latitude with these or buying expensive silicone wipers from PIAA. Of course I did both. on the driver's side I have a 19" PIAA Si-Tech wiper and on the other side I have a 19" Rain-X wiper with a cheap silicone wand mounted on it.
