Review on 🧢 Addi 100cm x 3.25mm Circular Lace Needle by Barbara Simmons

Simply good.

I really like Addy's nickel-plated turbo rockets. They are smooth, semi-sharp, well weighted and have the best lines. I love that the laces are reminiscent of the jelly material that girls' summer sandals are made of; they are good bendable for the magic loop. I love knitting socks and net scarves so I decided to buy one of the real net needles to try. While I love rocket socks, I'm not a fan of brass pointed needles. They actually remind me of Susan Bates Aluminum Needles but with an awesome cord. They have the same weightlessness as aluminum needles, the same drag, and actually aren't as sharp. I find intricate mesh stitching (table 2 together, links 1, side 3 together, etc.) on brass Addi lace tips just as difficult as your standard craft store or Walmart brands. In fact, I think it's harder to make a tricky stitch on needles with more resistance/"hook" than on smooth needles - for me, a needle with a sharp point that glides easily makes the stitch easier to complete. I also *love* the weight of the nickel plated pins (even Susan Bates' nickel plated pins). When I need a tougher needle, I choose rosewood; or Takumi Klee Bamboo if I want a pointed blade (Hiya Hiya or Chiaogoo Bamboo I have yet to try). Everyone has their own style of knitting, and while I'm sure a lot of people will love these needles, they just aren't for me (I'd go with my old Susan Bates nickel-plated circles first). They're not terrible, but I definitely can't justify the price; which to me is based more on bad cable than actual needles. I'm glad I only have one because I'll probably never use it again once I'm done with this project. It's actually motivating me to finish it ASAP because I can't wait to have these suckers in stock. I could even just donate them to a women's charity.
