A connection to the base station cannot be established without a battery!

When I was playing around with them I thought they were defective. I could not connect the device to the base. Then I realized that a battery needs to be installed for the locking mechanism to work. This is a very smart feature that I love, but I want to clear it up here in case anyone else thinks there's a problem.
