After a week in front of the chair, this rug became matt where I put my feet. I always lie down and feel like this shouldn't have happened. The carpet will not withstand even moderate movement. In addition, everything gets caught in the fibers of the carpet. It doesn't vacuum well because it's mostly shaggy carpet. Every little thing gets stuck in the fibers and it is even almost impossible to pull them out by hand. The positives of the rug is that it is very soft and silky and will withstand a machine wash but the pieces will still remain in the rug. I wish I had it back when it started matting.
