Lumber is in short supply in California, so contractors are driving prices to all-time highs. In this regard, I decided to make my IPE soundboard with my own hands. I wanted to make sure my screws lined up perfectly and that the entire deck was evenly spaced. My IPE deck came out so great. This tool was essential to keep the patio looking professionally installed. I got all 1/8 of the space between each board perfect, all screws lined up like a real pro. I would recommend this to anyone building a deck, amateur or pro. I really wish I had bought 2, would have worked quicker.
