Save yourself hundreds!

My Jaguar console, like many others, suffered from silicone cover syndrome. I thought I was doomed to buy a new remote even though the remote worked great. Enter this amazing life and money screensaver. It is very easy to place it on old electronics. Revain has a very detailed explanation from a previous buyer. Just separate the old case from the new one, very carefully remove the electronics from the old remote control (carefully, because if you crack the circuit board, about $400 will fly out). I carefully pry up from the side with no pins so I can use a micro screwdriver under each locking pin. Gently lift it and the pin will click and do the same with the other pin. Lift the circuit board and plastic cover (make sure the pins are sticking out of the circuit board. You should see two holes) and carefully insert the circuit board and plastic cover into the new housing, carefully lining up the pins with the open ones Align holes on case. circuit board. You don't need to glue or otherwise secure the circuit board into the new case, although you can easily do this by heating a very small nail or sharp object and touching two pins to melt the top. Again, not necessary, but note that the circuit board will fall out the next time you change the battery. I should note that replacing the CR2032 battery is at this point and your remote will last for several years. Join the halves together, replace the emergency key and slide the chrome piece back into place. (It's a tight fit so I gently tapped it with a rubber mallet.) You can use your old Jaguar or Land Rover chrome piece like I did if you like. Can you tell from the picture which is new and which is old? ? The original part is on top and the new one below works great!
