Could not get this seal
I will answer your question. NO, I did not leave the old seal. I have used and believed in many K&N filters in the past, but this one changed my mind. I will not buy this filter again. Back to AC Delco, sorry K&N. I drove 5,000 miles with the filter but it never sealed properly.
