I bought this sharpener to use with my 4 year old when we start writing letters and numbers. I didn't need anything very large/bulky and it fit the mold. I thought this pencil sharpener was bigger than it was and I was a little wary of buying it. I'm so glad I made the purchase. This is the perfect size for our needs. This is a compact pencil sharpener that works great! Pencils get very sharp and don't take long to sharpen. I like that there are both electric and manual modes. It also comes with an extra blade. This is WIN WIN for us! I definitely recommend this to others.
