Works like I thought it would. I've used it to make applesauce and puree. It was a little easier to use cooked apples, but the potatoes weren't bad. I would caution people using this with hot food to press slowly as the food can fly out of the side vents and it's annoying. Food cannot dry in all the small holes. Although it seems like common sense. The only downside I really have is that while it works well, there is a feeling that it could be bent at any moment. I wish it was a little stronger, especially where the plunger is (which pushes the food down). It's a bit wobbly and sometimes I had to change its position to make it work properly. All in all, I would recommend it to people who only use it occasionally. If you intend to use something frequently I would look for something of a higher quality or I am afraid you will be replacing the product frequently.
