Review on Lipper International 7218 Kitchen Chopping by Kristine Black

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A little rough around the edges, but overall a worthy payoff for the price.

The fee is reasonable from all sides, especially when you consider the price. I've only had it a day and it's currently lubed so I can talk about its performance or durability. This is a solid board with a decent weight. The joints appear to be subtly contracted. It's a bit rough in a few spots but nothing that a light sanding wouldn't fix if I felt it was necessary. The color is great and the board feels well oiled from the start. He didn't want to take much, so tomorrow I just drained it and drained the excess, then added the board cream. I got this as a replacement for a prep board and wanted something to match my ne Teakhaus board. Time will tell, but so far I'm happy. My only two complaints are the total lack of packaging like no other, just the mailer (thankfully it came out intact) and the sticker that everyone was complaining about. It leaves a sticky residue but I used Boos Block Mystery Oil and a paper towel and it came off after a little scrubbing and wiping. If this one lasts I will most likely buy another one for my bar.

Pros
  • a nice thing
Cons
  • annoying
