Pretty simple heater with lots of marketing hype

It has a stylish design, clever marketing but is basically a regular $30 heater with a more powerful fan. I can't help but be a little disappointed. First the good: - The safety feature is good, automatically disengages in rollover. - Light weight and stylish appearance. 1500W or fan only (no heater). The tilt is convenient and easy to use. The case feels cool, the risk of burns is minimal. The middle part of the fan still gets pretty hot, but I definitely feel safe using it around kids and pets. Cons: It's only a 6 or 6.5 inch fan, smaller than expected. And the legs are wider than they should be, giving more footprint for a small heater - No thermostat, just on/off - Filter is just a screen, I've seen other heaters with this one, I expected more. You know that after your heater has been sitting all summer, when you turn it on for the first time, it smells like burning because of the accumulated dust? Based on the marketing material, I was hoping that this would be the solution to this problem. Unfortunately, this is not enough to remove dust or other bits and pieces from the heating coils, this is another thing that needs cleaning. What disappoints me the most is the heat output. I disassembled the block to see how it works. It looks snazzy from the outside, but the inside work is pretty typical for a $30 heater but with a more powerful fan. The heating element is quite simple, just a heating element in the form of a coil. I see many complaints about it not heating up, but I suspect it does heat up like any other spiral heater of this wattage. The difference is in the fan - higher fan speed expels hot air, so at low speed the exiting air feels almost cool. This throws the heat further but spreads it over a larger area. So if you want something next to your sofa or your desk to keep you warm, this isn't it. Just save your money and buy a regular one. If you're short on space and need to keep the heater a few feet away (like two desks in a small office) this is fine. Or you can do the same thing by running a box fan at low speed in front of a heater. But my intended goal of using it in my garage workshop isn't really going to work. Too little to do anything, warm air just gets lost. I go back to my old method of putting a small heater on a bench and standing by it for a few minutes if I get too cold.
