I definitely got great value for money with this set and am very happy with it. They're sturdy and a good weight, and while I haven't measured everything scientifically, the measurements are very close to my supposedly super accurate other sets of measuring cups and measuring spoons - a tablespoon can be a little large. , and the measuring cups were maybe a bit larger, except the quarter cup was a bit smaller, or something, or maybe my other sentence was wrong, but they're very close and close. The clips that hold the kits together are also very good quality and should last forever. They won't open accidentally, yet aren't too difficult to open if you first push the clasps sideways (press right thumb up and left index finger down) and then pull them apart. Note that they appear to have been designed to measure liquids, not powders, where a small amount of liquid is expected to be left when poured. So when you measure dry powders, the volume is even slightly larger than it should be even though you use an equalizer. So if you need a high level of accuracy for measuring powders for medicines etc, you might be better off using a reversible type, like the much-vaunted Spring Chef, which has a round cup end for dry measurements and an elongated cup end for cup end measuring liquids. . . However, small differences in volume aren't very important to most home cooks, and if you need that level of accuracy then you should be doing everything by weight, not volume, anyway. Please note that contrary to what is stated on the packaging, the TAD in this kit is actually just over 1/8 teaspoon, not 1/4 teaspoon. So in this set TAD = slightly more than 1/8 TL but less than 1/4 DASH = slightly more than 1/16 TL PINCH = slightly less than 1/16 TL maybe 1/20SMIDGEN = 1/48 TL DROP = 1/ 120 I colored pens with Emooqi's non-toxic oil-based permanent markers (search "emooqi oil-based color markers" on Revain, a set of 12 markers is currently $11.99 with no 10% coupon, real deal) to use with Color coding so I can tell you which spoon or measuring cup is what size and get the correct one, and also help me put them in the right order quicker when they're put away as the die cut labels on them don't do so well can be read at a glance. You can also rub some of the color indicated into the lettering to make it stand out a bit more (note that the photo of the measuring spoons shows some spoons I had from another set).
