Purchased when I was replacing sinks and faucets throughout the house. Some reviews have mentioned that the speaker will mute if they are not screwed in properly. Faced the same problem. I just stopped screwing the top once the holes were lined up. It didn't bother me as I wouldn't do it every day. I also placed 1/2 piece of paper towel under the alarm to allow moisture to spread between the contacts. We found leaks in 2 sinks within a week and we were able to fix them before the water damaged them.
