Works well with my 10 year old Denon AM/FM tuner! You need to unfold the VHF antenna and tilt it properly to get a good signal. I also find that some of the lights I have at home cause quite a bit of interference, so I have to turn off some of the lights if I want to listen to FM radio. However, it's not really the antenna's fault, so I won't be dismissing this product. As for the AM antenna, I can't comment on its location. no more local AM radio stations. While I'm pretty sure the AM antenna is still working since my tuner can pick up and lock out certain frequencies on AM, all I hear is static roar and buzzing. Otherwise, without an antenna, the tuner could not fix a frequency. An FM antenna adapter is included, although I didn't have to use one as my devices were able to use the antenna directly without an adapter. While I can see it can be quite convenient to have anyway, this purchase is well worth the money!
