Would have gotten 4 stars (a discount for a useless water bottle) if it wasn't under $15. Don't even plan on using that water bottle, buy one that attaches to the side of the cage and has a ball bearing to keep it from leaking. I knew before ordering I wouldn't be using a water bottle and as planned I used a cap with a plastic connector to plug the hole. If this was the main cage for a smaller hamster, it would be better to run a hose through the water bottle hole rather than plugging it. However, I leave the wheel on and my hamster loves to squeeze his fat butt into it. He knows he's about to fall, but he'll always climb back. He has a much larger closed wheel to play with in his main cage that is impossible to fall out of. I don't understand the reviews saying this product is broken. I have used Critter Trail products for many years and have raised adult hamsters for over 20 years. These are by far my favorite cages and those of my hamsters. The wire allows you to breathe, climb and talk, while the plastic feet keep the surrounding area clean. I've assembled and disassembled my old tubes more times than I can count and never had a single crack. I've waited until I met this particular cage to review it, but it's every bit as good as any I've had. I am happy with this purchase and will buy again. Just plan on throwing away your water bottle.
