These hats are cute but take time to assemble. Bought 4, installed one to see how they look. I am returning all 4 sets. I put one set on a gazebo next to my pool - under a covered eaves. DO NOT POST OUTDOORS unless it is indoors AND there is no possibility of wind. Hats cling to the slightest breeze, twist and turn, twirl on the wire and curl up. I turned it up many times but I got fed up and then the hats started falling apart. A lamp even stopped working. (I mounted the lanterns through the ledges on the edge). However, with backlighting, they look incredibly cute and very festive. They must be placed at eye level with a distance, otherwise you look into the hats. So my advice is to ONLY use them INSIDE.
