I installed them on a covered outdoor patio. IT WAS NOT EASIER! The inclusion of push-in connectors for wiring makes connection quick and easy. The spring clips are strong - almost too strong - and clear 3/4" thick lumber with ease. If you're installing more than a pair, do yourself a favor and buy a 6.5" hole saw. I have inexpensive plastic ones -Used push in clips. I had no problems with dimming - I bought a Lutron Diva series dimmer and I have no flicker. Installing it meant taking it out of the box. Due to the way the way they are packaged it was easier for me to open the box from the bottom then take out all 6 and separate that way.Bottom line - love them!
