It's damn cool!

About SAND: I had that too, funny. So I checked. The base is weighted down with small plastic bags filled with sand. It doesn't seem to be a problem considering they would weigh next to nothing without them. I have found that they are not collected as carefully and it is possible that some of these sandbags have become trapped and have a small leak. Otherwise, the cone design seems pretty good. I use them at night to warn my stupid neighbor I share a driveway with that my $20,000 telescope is outside and please don't smash it! It pulls into the driveway like it's doing a pit stop in an Indy 500. I'm not thrilled that the light runs on two AAA batteries (which power the LED) because although mine ran all night, I'm pretty sure I'll be replacing them. regularly. They come with batteries installed. Some are not as fresh as others. I currently have 6 of these cones, 2 28" tall and 4 18" tall, and I love that they are so compact and lightweight. A backlight with constant or flashing light inside the cone is just the icing on the cake! My buds are LIME and they have a red bulb inside so they glow ORANGE. They are so cool that I kept them off the street because it seemed like they were going away. :)
