I love this clip. It was extremely easy to trim the edge of my gutters and I've found it to be far more versatile than others I've used in the past. Multiple fairy lights can be hung on each clip. The top part snaps off and can be snapped into a hole in the front top edge of the main body. The clip-on has two different sized socket holes, allowing you to fit mini lights in the smaller rear hole or larger lamp housings in the larger of the two. So I ran my blue mini lights all the way down the gutter in one snap. But also wanted to mount my meteor shower lamps under the long rows of blue lightbulbs. This was easy as there is a small plastic loop at the very bottom of this clip that you can insert some twine for garlands or whatever. Our theme is all blue, except for the meteor shower lamps, which are bright white (not warm white). So I ended up with a detachable top that holds my blue lightbulbs horizontally down the length of the gutters. I then hung my 12″ white meteor shower cascade tubes all the way down the gutters using the small round hook on the underside of the gutter clamp and then stuck the blue icicles into the same round hook to allow the blue icicles to fall down. between and after the meteor shower. After using them for the first time, I decided to ditch my previously owned clips that didn't allow for as much flexibility in organizing multiple lighting effects with one set of clips. Although I have used the mounting dimples, you can also place the top back of this clip under the leading edge of your shingles. Great clip and I ordered 400 knowing I will be using them for years.
