I have an old iPod dock and a broken iPod. I thought it would give meaning to this old dock, but I was very wrong. When I use this adapter I get no sound from the docking station to my receiver. However, it works if I hardwire my receiver with a RL/3.5mm cable. It's not exactly why I bought it, but I think it should be. It's a bit fuzzy when I try to pair the device. Sometimes it doesn't work the first time and I have to try again, especially with my laptop. It usually works great with my cell phone. Sometimes I have to turn it off and on again. So yes it works, but it's a bit buggy. Just be warned.
