GREAT IF YOU DON'T OVERHEAT IN THE MICROWAVE! Read the clear heating instructions on the second page of the brochure. Different size microwaves have different heating times. I don't heat mine individually in our microwave for more than 1 minute 45 seconds, no longer or they will expand too much and may explode. Read the instructions! This seller also has similar heating pads for folks which I bought last fall and use often during the winter for extra warmth in bed at night and as an occasional heating pad when my back hurts. So when I saw that they were available too. I quickly bought one for use with pets. We have 2 semi-feral street cats and offer them sheltered spots full of blankets and cat beds on our covered porch. By heating and adding one to each cat bed, that extra heat will be retained for most of the night and eliminate the need for electric heating pads which can overheat and/or burn out and be dangerous. Now that I've tested the one I bought and know it works so well I'm planning to buy 2 more from this seller.
