I'm thrilled! I am currently working from home during the pandemic and have set up a few backup systems to keep things running smoothly e.g. The only downside to my setup was that the company-supplied Cisco 8841 VOIP phone was unable to connect wirelessly. In fact, on Friday, the internet went out at my house and I had to let my co-workers take over my calling duties. No longer! This morning I set it up as a hotspot for WiFi from my phone in less than 5 minutes. I simply plugged an Ethernet cable into a port on my laptop and easily followed the setup instructions, which were little more than navigating to an address in a user guide and choosing the name of my access point network. I unplugged my router from the phone's power injector and plugged it into the power injector instead. My phone recognized that it was online and allowed me to log in and make a call. Now, theoretically, I could work from anywhere my phone can get a signal! I powered the device by conveniently plugging the USB cable into a small power bank. The cable from the power supply is short, but can always be used with a USB extension cable if desired. There is also a hole that looks like electricity is supposed to go there, but I didn't need it and couldn't figure out how to use it. So you can imagine how easy it is to set up if I'm not any smarter! Also, I just unplugged it for about 15 minutes and when I plugged it back in, it remembered its configuration. What a useful device in these difficult times!
