I have been playing golf for over 30 years and this is the first time I regripped my clubs myself. I’ve always had the caddie master at our country club do the regripping for me. We moved out of state and I no longer a member of the club and my clubs needed to be re-gripped. I decided to do this myself for the first time ever. Long story short it’s all about the prep work. Good prep work makes for a clean job and easy job. This kit came with everything I needed to do the job professionally. After removing the old grips I found out how lazy they were at my country club. Under the grips that I removed were layers upon layers of old tape. It took some time but I managed to get all the old tape off and brought the shafts back to the original condition. Then following the directions in the video I installed the new grips. They went on easily. The tape they provide with the kit is fantastic. It is double-sided very thin but very easy to install as long as you follow the directions in the video. The video itself shows a blue side. The tape I received had a yellow side. no big deal as long as you realize what you’re doing and use common sense. One of the tricks that I found is to use plenty of solvent. The solvent they provided was far more than enough to use so juice it up good. It’s there, use it and you don’t have to worry about running out. The solvent is your lubricant so that you can do a professional job and get everything lined up perfectly. I would highly recommend this product to anybody attempting to do the job themselves.
