I bought this case to add an SSD to backup photos when traveling. I wanted to wait until I had decent mileage before writing a review to get a feel for the ease of use, durability and clarity whether I like it or not. The verdict is done. In fact, he accumulated many frequent flyer miles for trips to Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Austria, Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, France and the Netherlands. Used every night to backup daytime photos. There were no problems, nothing fell off, the SSD holds up well, I backed up all my photos with no problems. I'm not sure what the USB port actually stands for, but when I plug it into the USB3.0 port on my travel laptop, I get GREAT throughput when loading my 32GB cards onto the hard drive. What used to take forever (most of the time I had to go to lunch and hope it's ready when I get back) was zipped through at the appropriate USB3 speeds, downloading everything in the region of a few minutes (don't pray it finished so I can go to bed). Definitely recommend this case for your favorite HD (SSD recommended) and its portability, durability and overall features match my photographic security needs well. This is at the highest level.
