Review on 🚲 Neutral-Colored Garmin Edge 500 Cycling GPS Device by Zack Frazier

When I decided to upgrade my bike computer to GPS this year, I needed it to have a heart rate function in addition to reliable readings. I first tried to discount a computer that was nearly identical in size, features, and functionality, and probably made by the same manufacturer for this well-known company as the Garmin 500. It looked chunkier but had identical screens, screen features, modes... and features like Garmin, and the HR strap was included at a price lower than the price of just the 500. Since I was already familiar with the features and functionality, I didn't have to learn how to use the device (partially with Garmin Connect) and the easy-to-install handlebar mounts took longer to install than the device itself. And it worked great from day one. Except for the HR part. I love the HR strap and the user-replaceable battery (I've been using Polar HR monitors for 18 years and their latest transmitter is so good), but on those chilly mornings it can take up to 2 miles for the heart rate reading to register stable heart rate reading. As mentioned, I've been using a Polar product for almost 2 decades, and a quick lick of the electrodes and it shows up right away; the heart rate monitor of the well-known device that has since been discontinued (also almost identical in construction to Garmin) worked straight away.
