Great Basic Cycling GPS

I have had my Edge 500 for 3 years now and have ridden about 10,000 miles on this unit. I rarely drive without it - only if I forget to charge it for more than a week and my battery dies. It has many useful features and some (to me) completely useless features, such as: B. a virtual partner. I often download TCX files created with Ride With GPS.com and use Garmin to navigate. It's a little tricky because 500 shows the route but not overlaid on the map - you have to calculate curves from theโ€ฆ

I love having lots of dates

I love that this bike computer can connect to my heart rate monitor (Garmin) and my power meter (Stages). Having altitude gain and incline percentage data is nice too, although (unlike other data) I found it to be a bit inconsistent. I can make the same ride multiple times and get multiple different climb values. Great quick release mount and I appreciate that Garmin includes two mounts so I can easily move it between two bikes. The rubber band attachment system allows you to move the entireโ€ฆ

Love my Edge 500, hate the marketing crap.

I can't believe I've never posted a review of the Edge, probably because there are already hundreds of reviews of the 500 and it's already been replaced by the 510. This Revain page is specifically for the Premium HR package, so what can I say about that. First let me say that I love my Edge 500. I don't need the new wireless crap in the 510, I like the smaller size, I don't need a touchscreen, it does everything I need it to. Now to the premium package: I paid significantly more money becauseโ€ฆ

Biggest dollar hit in GPS today!

This GPS has many very good reviews. When the price dropped to $150, I decided to buy one to stop using my cellphone and draining its battery. I've used it several times and it worked perfectly except for the first flight. I don't know why but when I first used it it deviated 4.5 miles after driving over 35 miles. It has existed ever since. I like the fact that it's ANT+. I'm wearing a Garmin heart rate monitor and it connects with no action. Sweet. This little device seems to do everything Iโ€ฆ

Garmin Edge 500 Fits Bike GPS Navigators

I love this bike computer. It's not overly large, but it packs a ton of information, giving you up to five screens to view all the information, which you can scroll through with the press of a button. Each Garmin screen or page contains one to eight items for you to choose from. Some of the things it can track are speed, time of day, current travel time, current travel kilometers, cadence, heart rate, power, calories. There are many more options, I think it's about 50 different options. It will

The Garmin Edge 500 is a fantastic product. I've ridden a lot of road bikes.

The Garmin Edge 500 is a fantastic product. I rode road bikes for many years and figured my CatEye bike computers would do. So I hesitated to buy but have been happy ever since. The main advantages of this computer are: - Dedicated device with long battery life: It does one thing very well - tracks and displays speed and distance. -- Small and light: crucial for road builders! -- Easy to set up (although reading order required!) -- Excellent visibility in low light: I drive early in the morning

Almost perfect for sports and wearable GPS

When I decided to upgrade my bike computer to GPS this year, I needed it to have a heart rate function in addition to reliable readings. I first tried to discount a computer that was nearly identical in size, features, and functionality, and probably made by the same manufacturer for this well-known company as the Garmin 500. It looked chunkier but had identical screens, screen features, modes... and features like Garmin, and the HR strap was included at a price lower than the price of just the

I bought this to replace my Garmin Forerunner 305. I've taken it to the US, Australia and New Zealand. It's an improvement over the 305 in every way aside from one thing, and it does a great job. Here's one thing: Garmin's product management department, in a fit of divine inspiration, decided to remove a feature from the 500 that was present on the 305 in order to boost Edge 800 sales: auto-map. With 305, you can press a few keys and get a string of characters showing where you've been sinceโ€ฆ

The little GPS that could.

I bought this Garmin Edge 500 in March 2011 and have logged over 500 different activities. religious. I follow the stats recorded by my Garmin and use them to improve my riding. I made sure I had a device that recorded every foot of every ride and that was my motivation for investing in the Garmin Edge 500. This little Garmin has endured many tough conditions. He survived a sandstorm at the 2012 Tour de Palm Springs, got wet during a thunderstorm on a MS150 trip from Miami to Key Largo, and was
