Review on Efficient and Reliable: Coghlan's Electric Air Pump for Quick Inflation by Jesse Stewart

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No power? No problem!

I was a little hesitant to purchase this air pump simply because I didn't know if it could pump our very large queen size mattress and two battery operated twins. Our mattresses have a built in air pump but you need electricity to plug it in (obviously) and we camped in a place where not only did there not have electricity but we had to gear up on the spot after we parked our car ( too) parked far away no had the opportunity to use the AC socket which luckily our cars have. - none of which fit in the mattress plug, allowing air to enter the mattress instead of exiting through the jet. So it took some patience (holding the nozzle and air pump, blocking the leak with your hands) to get the air pumping, but it worked in the end. The nozzle adapter size configuration is the only thing taking a star off this air pump. I was concerned about battery life, and it certainly is - in fact, the batteries still had enough power to fill children's mattresses. to camp in the backyard in a week or so - and that was after we borrowed batteries for a battery powered flashlight that we used over the weekend as we forgot to buy enough batteries for both. A word to the wise - if you have long hair make sure you keep this thing away from you or it will try to eat your hair where the suction fan is. Hm.
