I tore apart my entire cast iron wood stove, cleaned it of old cement and sealed it with this stuff. Product number 64C. I called Rutland and told them what I was doing and they told me about this product and it worked PERFECTLY! for what i have done. My oven has never been so airtight. I have an old Federal Airtight Big 288 and also replaced the seals on the door and combustion door. If you do this and have never done this before, take a picture because when you put it all back together you have to slowly heat the oven to 500 degrees for 21 days. I did everything in one day. I make a living from bodywork. One day I took apart all the old cement and cleaned it, and the next day I put it back together. I also replaced the combustion chamber with a new ceramic and seal from Condar. The temperature of the combustion chamber of the furnace is 1300 degrees, and the temperature of the tube is kept within 400-500 degrees, which is ideal. My oven has never been like this! If you have any questions call Rutland, the number on the phone was great to talk to. Two years ago I went to a kiln shop and they gave me the wrong material and I had to do it all over again. Everything was done right this time! Hope this helps JimHi, I have to add that! It's February 2021 and the oven is still as tight as it was 7 years ago! I haven't had a problem with that yet. I don't use it that often, I'm getting older and tired of chopping wood, but this product has worked for years with no problems! If you're going to buy this and craft all your records, it's better to get more than not enough!
