It worked very well for about a month and then this crack happened because you had to keep pressing on it. Every time my dog enters our coop or goes under the shed I need to make sure he has a signal. I was very happy when we really got started, which required some work at the beginning. My dog had to get a good shock to really understand that the beep was a warning, but once that happened every time he beeped he ran back. We are in a rural area with trees and the trees weren't a problem for us, it was just all the outbuildings that we had problems with. Very disappointed because now with a crack in the button it doesn't seem to work anymore. I was about to give a very positive review and was very happy with the product for the price but now that I feel like I can't rely on it and with this tear it is by no means waterproof I'm very frustrated . My dog is a young energetic husky who loves to chase deer and we have some not so friendly neighbors who threaten to hurt him if they see him again so I can't count on a broken product. First we trimmed the hair on the back of his neck a bit because it didn't seem to bother him. If the buttons hadn't broken I would buy them again.
