First of all WATCH THE INSTALLATION VIDEO that Mowei accompanies with this product. The steps shown in the video are NOT the same steps printed on the back of the box or in the tiny instruction manual. I watched the video, followed all the instructions to the last letter and got through the first try. This is great because now I have 2 extra protectors in case this one ever breaks. I tested the selfie camera before and after and didn't notice any difference. I rescanned my fingerprints and they work without any problems. For those who want more information about the fingerprint scanner in particular, here's how they get it working. These glass protectors use a liquid adhesive that hardens when exposed to ultraviolet radiation. This package contains a small metal weight that is exactly the size of the scanner and the shield has the scanner area marked (with a sticker that you peel off later) so you can install the weight when you start the UV process. You shine the light with the weight on the scanner for about 30 seconds, then remove the weight and expose it to UV radiation for about another 2 minutes to fully cure the adhesive. This ensures that the adhesive layer on the scanner is as thin as possible and worked perfectly in my case. One more thing, and this may seem obvious, but remember that the S21 Ultra comes with a screen protector (thin plastic) already installed. Make sure to remove it before installing the glass panel. Another piece of advice that applies to all shield setups. turn on the hot shower for a few minutes, steam in the bathroom and do the installation there. Due to humidity, there will be no dust particles in the air, so you greatly reduce the chance of accidentally getting dust under the screen. One last thing, I have a Torras shockproof case (TPU without a stand) for my new S21 Ultra and this glass screen doesn't bother the case at all. The screen is now less curved than previous Galaxy phones, so I think the battle between cases and screens might be over, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
