Phone holder interferes with Macbook Pro

Phone holders do not work on Macbook Pro as they are mechanically placed right where the power, USB and Thunderbolt ports are, rendering them ineffective. These will need to be removed, two new holes drilled and countersunk to allow the fastener to sit flush with the sheet metal. To be usable, they must be moved to the front of the Macbook Pro. The threads on the left arm are loose and require a left hand thread or Loc-Tite to prevent loosening. Phone holders are not suitable. Case on the LG-V40 Thin-Q and blocks access to the bottom controls in the dock. The cable management of the phone holder is not well thought out. When used to control cord placement, any cord in the holder will prevent the phone or device from fitting in the holder. Cable cutouts do not fit large plugs like the Apple iPod 160GB Classic. The hole in the die-cast arm needs to be milled to accommodate the type of ports Apple used on some older devices. The glue used to attach the ABS material to the bumper didn't work on the unit I received so the front bumper pad wasn't sticking and shifted. I had to use a heat gun to heat the sheet metal on the back to soften the glue splatters to get the bumper back in place. Side. As a result, the laptop sits at an angle to the stand. Some laptop tweaks and design changes in material choices - notably the spray adhesive that got wet all over the base at the factory that I had to clean that wasn't properly chosen for the end use. The USB 3.0 Gen 1 hub seems to check and register well, but I'm willing to bet it won't work without a power adapter with large power-hungry USB devices like external drives etc. Two flash drives were tested - Kingston 128GB and Samsung 128GB - they didn't register immediately (as quickly) as with a very old Staples USB hub (USB 2.0), but they eventually registered in the Finder after a few seconds . However, I did not test the read and write speeds. The USB hub worked great with a Kinesis USB 2.0 keyboard and a low-profile Kensington trackball.
