WARNING: IF YOU BUY THIS ITEM, YOUR PETS ARE AT RISK

I have had two of these boxes for my boxer puppies for 7-8 months now. If my story doesn't highlight how cheap these things are and how awful this product is, then I'm not sure what will. About an hour after I put my puppies to bed, I was woken up by what could be considered a nightmare for any pet owner - a LOUD barking puppy in his cage. I immediately rushed to see what was going on. At first glance she seemed beautiful, she just sat there with a sad expression on her face so I went over to pet her and she screamed in pain, loud and repeated, over and over; squirmed, not knowing what had happened. I didn't know either until I saw HER LEG EXTENDED BY ONE OF THE CHEAP CONSTRUCTION VERTICAL METAL STRAIGHT. Apparently my 25 pound, 5 month old boxer pup somehow managed to kick one of the side rails and it almost completely detached from the side it was supposed to be welded to. The only part that held up was the top of the bar and the bottom of the bar was loose and as a result she was able to slip her paw through the hole that was made and then I think when she tried to pull her foot in , the bottom of the bar pierced the area between her toes. When I say "pierced," I mean the rod went right through her soft tissue. I ended up cutting the rod off with wire cutters and removing a piece of metal from my pup's leg. It was an absolute nightmare and after that I went out the next day straight away and bought different stalls for both of them. A few points to note in my story: A) I read and followed all the instructions and they have used the crates for several months with no problems (although by the age of 5 months the puppies appear to be strong enough to handle the bars turn off). B) The divider was used and they had enough space as instructed, meaning the space they had should be enough to stand up. turn all the way around, so that was NOT a problem. C) She was just a 5 month old puppy who was already asleep before I put her to bed. Also, they were in the room right next to mine and my walls were paper thin so I know she's not squirming in the cage trying to get out or anything. Most likely I would guess that she was leaving to adjust and the bar was bent back slightly when she kicked it and when she pulled it back in it pierced (the bar had something like a "point" on the end). Bottom). This is the only explanation I have as the board was intact and didn't bend when I put it to bed. That means the bars themselves are pretty disgustingly cheaply soldered. I checked this myself by tugging at the other vertical bars around the boxes - they really are constructed like absolute crap and you can easily pull out a lot of the solder joints. I bought these boxes, TWO of them, because of the good reviews, so maybe the manufacturer was lazy and/or changed their quality assurance process. In any case, I wouldn't recommend buying these boxes unless you're willing to live with the possibility of your precious pup (my pets are family really) accidentally impaling themselves. I'm sure I won't be buying anything from this manufacturer again and need to think about how to use those dangerous $75 paperweights. ) from time to time when I went on excursions. I had no problems with my dogs being caged but they just lay down so that's not saying much. The cages themselves are falling apart quickly - rusted at the welds, the sides and door are warped and bent, so locking is now difficult, more bars are falling off and falling off, etc. one of your favorite animals.
