I'm a father. My daughter turned two last Tuesday. She got this dice set for her second birthday. Why? Because dad is a gamer, among other things. Mom, dad and all our friends have bones. Many dice. Some of my dice are from the late 70's. I use them to run old D&D games. I have a couple of 20 sided d10s from my old FASA Trek boxes that are almost round. Caylee has been getting a lot of dice since she started crawling and walking and that's the problem. Dad doesn't want to lose his bones. Uncle Trenton doesn't want to run to the corner store for a drink, only to come back and find that Mom lost sight of Caylee for a few moments, and now it's all Uncle Trenton's bones except for a lonely pair D6 now out of the game. Action. (These dice were later found in the air conditioner closet along with some figurines and some USB sticks.) Kaylie needed her own dice and this was the best choice. I love her. Too big to eat, too soft to hurt. Hell, this is the only D4 I've ever had in my house that didn't turn into a numbered plastic stick when it hit the floor. She loved her bones so much that she took the D20 to kindergarten the next day. What is the baby's THAC0 in each case? Why four stars and not five? Well, it has to do with the suspicious lack of D6. This set has D4, D8, D10, D12 and D20. No D6. I had to fix this by buying Kaylie a set of 12 D6s foam. Now she can play Shadowrun for toddlers or Star Wars D6 for toddlers and play dice. She could also invite 5 other toddlers and run a travel campaign. All in all, I'm glad I got them for my little warrior princess. Some of my adult players love them and want to buy a set too!
