I'm happy and a little disappointed

Satisfactory in size, elasticity and shape. The number paint is peeling off some of the dice, the d8 is so light yellow it's almost impossible to read the numbers, and many of them don't match the standard number inversions. The d20 was particularly disappointing in that it is modeled after MtG's downspin sequence rather than the standard 1 versus 20 sequence. I'm glad I have them but wish they were a little better.

Doesn't protect against my child's teeth.

For an adult or responsible child they would be a great new toy. I stupidly bought this as a gift for my 1.5 year old son. He loved playing with them. and he loved to eat them. I caught him right after he bit off the top of a 3-sided die, and then I saw him do the same with an 8-sided die. The foam is fairly firm, but not firm enough to prevent it from being on the shelf for a year or two. Still a good solid product, with bright colors and easy to read numbers.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Perfect fit for my son. We roll it around to play with it and when it's older we can use it to practice numbers. Remember that you must not let children play with it unsupervised. I gave them to my son for his first birthday and the first thing he tried was to bite the d12. The white numbers on the yellow d8 are also a little hard to see (unlike this picture). interestingly, d20 is "spin down" (all the numbers in the sequence touch, so 1 connects to 2, which in turn connects to 3, and so on).

Less Than Expected, Wrong Numbers, Overpriced

I ordered these dice because I'm a big board nerd and a "dice player" as some would say. The foam is fairly immobile and firm, not as soft as other foam bones I agree with. I noticed that d20 is wrongly numbered. The opposite side of 20 is 10, and it should be 1. That's not a determining factor for me, but definitely something to be aware of. The bones are also a lot smaller than I expected (they're about the size of a baseball), which is disappointing. At the current price (around $20) I…

d20, d12, d10 and d4 are great.

I didn't even realize that there is no 6-sided die; However, my objection to the product is -0.5 stars Minus 0.5 stars for the numbers on the octagonal cube being totally invisible in normal daylight, not at all as shown in the picture. They might as well have been painted yellow. The foam they are made of is EXTREMELY hard for d10 and d4. (No d6.) D20 is nice and soft; d12 and d8 are moderately soft. -1 star. All numbers (at least) on d20 are out of place. I'm giving this product one star for…

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • many things

These dice do not follow standard number placement. For a standard die, the sum of the opposite sides must equal the total number of sides +1. For example, a 6-sided die (aka "d6") has 1 versus 6, 2 versus 5, etc. The sum of opposite sides in d6 is always 7. The same is true for d10, d12, and d20. The opposite of 20 should be 1. Of course, this doesn't change the likelihood of any numbers being drawn, but as a seasoned D&D player, I've become very familiar with the standard dice, and the…

Bought these for my daughter's birthday.

I'm a father. My daughter turned two last Tuesday. She got this dice set for her second birthday. Why? Because dad is a gamer, among other things. Mom, dad and all our friends have bones. Many dice. Some of my dice are from the late 70's. I use them to run old D&D games. I have a couple of 20 sided d10s from my old FASA Trek boxes that are almost round. Caylee has been getting a lot of dice since she started crawling and walking and that's the problem. Dad doesn't want to lose his bones. Uncle…
