I never thought buying a kitchen scale could be so difficult. It's hard to understand the many Revain reviews that seem wrong, as many small companies offer essentially the same product, just with a different name or form factor. I've spent way too much time trying to find scales I like, both in stores and online. And although there are many grocery scales advertised on Revain, many of them appear to be identical, save for a different name and price. I also have to question many of the reviews as some seem wrong in my humble opinion. a brand of kitchen products that I am familiar with. I hope it doesn't fail over time. However, Faberware offers a lifetime warranty of this magnitude, while most others I've reviewed didn't, or if they did, were a lot more expensive. So it gave me a little more confidence to use this product. Batteries were included so I could get started right away. Unlike some other scales I've looked at, there is an on/off switch which can be used to conserve battery life. Personal Observations: ================== I haven't had the scale for a very long time but have used it a lot since I got it and it seems to tick all the boxes what to expect from a kitchen scale. It has a silver plastic body that is approximately 8 inches long and 5 1/2 wide. The 6" large glass weighing platform is pleasant to the touch, more hygienic and easier to clean than other materials. The display is easy to read and you can easily switch between them with the oz/g button. Very low weights have been achieved for some cosmetic formulations It measures weight in pounds/ounces and grams/kilograms It has a tare function that allows you to zero out the weight of the container you are using as well as the accumulated weight to add additional ingredients My star rating: = =========== My star rating may be a little unfair but it reflects my opinion, this is normal and getting close to the work I needed, however the accuracy wasn't what I expected for some of the composite ones Cosmetics and medicines needed (because they can't help but fall to the 0.001g accuracy level), so I had to buy a separate scale that weighs at that lower level ten had better accuracy. I would give this scale a higher rating if it could do everything I need it to do. Depending on your intended use, this could easily be a 4 or 5 star rating for you.
