It's not a ruler but you get the idea. The more you use this scale in your recipes and when measuring serving sizes, the closer you get to your goals. The top of the scale is made of glass, so this part is easy to clean (be careful not to leave anything on the plastic as this is more difficult to clean). It is quite accurate and since the control buttons are on the top, the scale is very easy to use.

Very happy with this product. I have had good spring scales for years and have been happy with the weighing, but zeroing the weight of a container or tare was slow and inconvenient. When I saw electronic scales with a tare function on TV, I bought these. Attractive, lightweight, easy to store and carry, and the push button tare function is like magic. Weighing is now a pleasure. I cook and cook a lot and this scale is a useful addition to my kitchen.

Wonderful product at a great price. BUT I couldn't read the small size of digital ounces around kg. I used my Dymo labeller and put the black letters on the scale. Now I can read what's on the smaller screen. My photo is enlarged and created with contrast so the manufacturer's report looks better in my photo than on the screen. After looking at almost all scales, I decided on this one and am very satisfied. It has more than enough precision for baking, simple controls, and an easy-to-read display, and the raised surface makes the display visible even with a large bowl or plate on it. The display stays on for 2 minutes when not in use, so I don't feel rushed when weighing multiple ingredients.
