The only useful feature of this thing is that it has a bayonet connection with a Dewalt tool (a cordless sander in my case). Like others, I bought this in the hope that it could be fitted to an existing vacuum hose. For some reason, Dewalt treats the dimensions of this device as a kind of state secret. In fact, the business ID ends at 1.71 inches. My Armor All vacuum has a hose with a 1.25 inch OD end fitting. Sa I made an adapter from two layers of MDF. Now it works fine.
