For those who can't put this together from the box yet (my husband and I struggled with this for 30 minutes), just read the box. It all came rolled up unassembled but after that it's very easy to do and I was grateful that it came with a lightbulb because it was a last minute addition to our guest bedroom and everything was there. The on and off feature is pretty cool. No button, some kind of sensor. The bedroom is in the basement with windows so it is very dark and the light switch is on the other side of the room. This adds low beam for my guests (dim to bright, you choose) and they can charge up to 3 items. It's pretty comfortable, to be honest. My parents loved it so much they asked for it for Christmas.
