Review on 🐠 SE-720F Seahorse Protective Case with Customizable Foam - High-Performance Solution by John Talcott

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great case for everything you need with protection

I've never bought these hard cases but I needed something more secure to protect some glass items. After carefully measuring and recovering from the shock of the pelican sticker, I decided to try this guy on one of my larger items. Foam is easy to adjust. Having never worked with this foam before, I was a little nervous about getting it right the first time, so I was very careful when marking and cutting the foam. As it turns out, foam is pretty easy to work with. The case itself (locking mechanism, materials, etc.) feels very solid and works flawlessly as far as I can tell. The plucked foam gives the whole thing a nice clean and individual look. I have since also ordered an SE520F from Revain here and have nothing but good things to say about the seahorse bodies. I will definitely buy them in the future. Tip: In this case, and many seahorse cases, there's only a very thick (think 5.5 inches or so) piece of styrofoam. If your item has varying depths, like mine, simply leave intact the foam you pull out, then cut horizontally to the correct height and reinsert the foam into the larger insert. So you can also make custom deep foam. This is great for supporting items from underneath as the bottom foam isn't as strong as the eggcrate type top foam.
