Review on 🏞️ Discover Ultimate Comfort and Style with the Chaco Classic Athletic Sandal Split by Curtis Nice

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Made in the USA! Six stars if possible - for me the regular 9.5 W fit the Chaco 8.5 W

This is my second pair of Chaco Z1 Classics. My first pair endured heavy daily wear for about six years before the tread eventually began to separate from the insole. The fit is perfect when I order a size smaller than my usual size. I usually wear 9.5 wide and 8.5 wide chaco sandals like these sandals were made especially for me. My first pair sold out when the store closed so there wasn't much choice and the fit wasn't perfect, but I still enjoyed wearing them. These sandals wear like irons in terms of durability. I expect this new pair to last another six years. The Z1 Classic's insole isn't for everyone, as some find it too hard and unforgiving. Because I like trails that involve regular wading through streams and rough wear and tear around ledges, I place a high priority on durability. I think Chaco makes another model of the Z sandal that is very similar but has a much softer rubbery layer on the insole so it's more comfortable but perhaps less durable than the Z1 Classic's uncompromising hard rubber piece that uses becomes as a protector. / footbed. I think they call the softer model the Z Cloud or something like that. The black Z1s I bought were made in the USA. I think most of their black Zs are made in the USA, and I think the wide width is only available in the US made models. But don't take me to the bank with that. Highly recommended.
