The first thing that strikes you when installing this filter compared to polyurethane is that it is very light. Literally feel empty! This may explain why different filter materials can be used. However, when water is passed through, one sees that the water is not filtered at all, as the water simply bubbles as if there were no filter, like the PUR product. And people here didn't notice that to post before me? In my case, the return period has expired, so I'm bringing the price down, but I never buy any filters other than the original PUR. Lesson learned.
