Review on πŸ”§ Enhance Stability and Protection with Quick Products QP-SBSBU Standard RV Bumper Support Bracket by Chris Sandridge

15 minute install with the right tools

Some of the negative reviews were a result of not reading the version install scripts in the manual. My setup was a 2005 Shasta caravan with a tubular frame welded to the bumper, which the manual says is the standard setup. You clamp the bracket in place and drill three 17/64 pilot holes (the drill bit must be an exact 17/64 or the self-tapping screws won't work. You don't need any equipment to go through the entire pipe, just the first side, and you don't need a nut on a standard install, just make sure the guide bolt is tight on the pipe.I used a standard 20V drill bit with a titanium bit, but carbide will do just fine.I used a 1/2"Impact wrench with a 1ft extension to give more reach. I imagine this would be a problem with a hand ratchet. I would go with an impact wrench to save you time and hassle. It took me about 15 minutes with it the right tools.I will post an update when I use it with the bumper attached, 4 bike mount.
